My husband and I live in Houston, TX with our two dogs in our house which will hopefully be paid off by 2012 (5 years from our date of purchase in 2007). We were both raised by financially savvy parents who thankfully taught us some of the ins and outs of personal finance early on. Despite a few big mistakes like investing in a friend’s failing business in 2007, our emergency fund and budget help us reach our goals and have a good time too. I see money as a tool that is used to provide for our needs, our future, and the fun stuff in between.
To keep your interest, I’ll update our monthly budget as it changes and post my blogging income and stats update at the beginning of every month. I’ll also use real numbers as often as possible in all of my posts because I appreciate transparency and sharing the actual figures helps me stay on top of my goals.
