I’m so excited!!! Ticket sales are opening up this morning at 9am CST (10am EST) for the Financial Blogger Conference 2013 and the new pre-event, FinCon Bootcamp! I have my alarm set for 8:55am AND I am a FinCon Bootcamp organizer, so double woot!!!
A Quick Rundown of the Financial Blogger Conference
For a ton of details, please check out my posts about FinCon11 and FinCon12. Those are two of the longest posts I have written (not saying much, but still…). You can also head over to the FinCon site for all of the details for this year’s gala, lol.
But to sum it up really quickly, the Financial Blogger Conference is an awesome multiple-day event each year that is organized by Phil Taylor of PT Money. You get to meet hundreds of other personal finance bloggers and attend different teaching sessions that cover a ton of info on pretty much every aspect of blogging. For example, I was one of the small session speakers last year and covered taking the leap into self-employment. My favorite parts of every FinCon is the hanging out, chatting, and the different meals. Yep, I am predictable.
This year’s conference is being held in St. Louis, MO from midday October 17 -20, 2013. There will even be a day and a half pre-event that I’m helping to organize called FinCon Bootcamp.
Organizing the FinCon Bootcamp
This will be the first year of a FinCon Bootcamp that will be held the day before the conference starts, October 16-17, 2013. Since it is so new, it also is the most vague right now, lol. It will be limited to the first 50 people to buy bootcamp tickets, will have a ton of networking events and time to hang out, and we’ll be developing group sessions based on the survey results we receive from the 50 participants leading up to the event.
I can guarantee it will kick butt and be the networking hub of all of FinCon since I’ll be running it. Also, buy an add-on ticket for it because I will look pathetic if all 50 tickets don’t sell.
Totally Worth It
Whether you are trying to grow your blog, meet your favorite bloggers, learn more about blogging, or just want to hang out with awesome people for most of a week, the Financial Blogger Conference is where it’s at! And if you buy your ticket today or tomorrow (March 5-6, 2013), it’s only $99! After that 2 day sale, it increases to $179, but that it is still one of the cheapest conventions I see in the blogosphere.
The Bootcamp ticket is a $99 add-on, but I know it’ll be amazing! That price also covers lunch and dinner on Wednesday. I am striving to make it the event that everyone talks about the whole time, lol. Come on pizza party!
Will you be at FinCon13? How about my bootcamp? Are you nearly as excited as me!?
