July 2016 Net Worth of $516,470 and Self-Employment Income of $6635!!!

I love reading blogging income reports! This lady is making thousands of dollars every month from working online and working at home. She runs two businesses, so she's diversified. What a great read.

It’s that time again! I like to use monthly income and net worth updates for motivation. Posting them pushes me to try harder, I am forced to actually work the numbers, and I started blogging so I could share with all of you and get feedback. I would also like to inspire more people to create income streams out of something they truly enjoy. My Backstory for New Readers I worked in a dead end cubicle job from when I graduated from college in 2005 through July 2011. My department didn’t have a career ladder up and $35,500 was the highest salary I ever received. My plan was to stay there for 30 years and retire. That plan went to crap for two main reasons. First, I wanted to truly connect with people. Secondly, I finally realized the position was the definition of “dead end”…I needed more. That led me to creating Budgeting in the Fun Stuff in February 2010 even though I had zero professional writing experience, and I had just been a blog reader and commenter for a few months. It grew faster than I expected (thank you!), and I have been fully self-employed since July 2011. BFS … Read more

June 2016 Net Worth of $515,500 and Self-Employment Income of $6450!!!

I would love to work from home and earn $6450. That is definitely enough to allow me to be a stay at home mom who still earns money. It is so motivating to read stories of couples who are location independent and have built their own online businesses. I want to start a blog myself now!

This lady made over $8000 last month, almost entirely online! She works for herself from home and has a net worth of over half a million dollars. This is so interesting to read, I wish I could be a WAHM, maybe blogging is the way to make it a reality?

February 2012 Blog Statistics and Income Update

Quick review since I know some of you only tune in for this monthly peek, lol. I started Budgeting in the Fun Stuff in February 2010, started Crystal-For-Hire Blog Advertising Services in April 2011, started working from home in July 2011, and Mr. BFS joined me at home in January 2012. WOOT!!! I have never worked harder in my life, but WOOT!!! Yep, it’s been crazy busy here. Hubby and I need at least $10,000 a month to cover expenses, basic savings, and taxes. But we are aiming for $15,000 a month so we can pay off our mortgage by June 2012, build up our emergency fund even more, and invest lots and lots for our future since I have no idea how long this can really last. I figured the best way to keep my eye on the prize is to hit monthly targets, so I started posting here towards the end of 2010. Between that and the fact there seems to be major interest in the subject, I started an update of my blogging stats and income around the 1st of every month. Here the goals for February 2012 followed by the results: Alexa Ranking: 36,000 / 36,825  (close but no cigar) … Read more

It was the best month yet!!!  Whoo-hoo for a crazy 3 weeks and a little time off too!!! I wanted to blog full time by 2012. To reach that goal, I thought I needed a bunch of traffic on all of my blogs. Specifically, I was aiming for 25,000 unique visitors a month at BFS by August 2011 and needed to be making $30,000 a year total by 2012.  Well, there was a change of plans. I literally got too busy with my online work to keep my day job, so I quit as of July 15th, 2011! Self-employment is rocking so far! Between that and the fact there seems to be major interest in the subject, I started an update around the 1st of every month of my blogging stats and income generated. It has been a slower month than normal, but holidays can do that.  I appreciated the few days that were lighter than normal with emails, but I hope it picks up soon.
