As I announced at the end of November, I am aiming to lose about 5 pounds by the end of 2012. That would be me weighing in at 165 or less. As I am using you all to keep me accountable, so here is my weekly update.
On the food side of my weight loss, I sucked. I did okay at the beginning of last week, but then we went out of town and celebrated twice with family for Christmas. I’m trying to stick to 29 points a day and use a minimal amount from the 49 allowed weekly extra, but that didn’t happen.
Here’s how it went from last Sunday to this previous Saturday.

Monday, December 17th - 37
Tuesday, December 18th - 41
Wednesday, December 19th - 42

Total Used = Lots of 252 available (29 base points a day and 7 a day for splurging)
No worries, I will get back on track in the New Year, but you will be more impressed with my workout numbers.
As for what I have been eating this past week, you name a Christmas food and it’s been in my mouth. Seriously. Let’s not dwell…
This is where I needed improvement. I made the goal last week was to walk at least 4 times for 30 minutes, do 40 crunches, and 25 pushups.
My little sister visited for a few days and walked with me and hubby walked with me a few times while we were out of town.
Sunday, December 16th - Walked 30 minutes
Monday, December 17th - Walked 50 minutes
Tuesday, December 18th - Walked 30 minutes
Wednesday, December 19th - Walked 45 minutes
Thursday, December 20th - Walked 30 minutes and bowled for a couple of hours
Friday, December 21st - Nope…lots of packing and driving
Saturday, December 22nd – Walked 30 minutes
Technically, I didn’t hit my goals but I am super happy!!! I walked 6 times out of 7 days and am trying to keep that up! My new target for next week is to walk at least 5 times for 30 minutes, do 40 crunches, and 25 pushups.
All of that said, here’s the actual weight update (I’m just adding updates to the list so we can both see what I’ve done along the way).
- Started Tuesday night, November 27th at 169.8 pounds.
- Weighed in Sunday morning, December 2nd at 166.6 pounds.
- Weighed in Sunday morning, December 9th at 166 pounds.
- Weighed in Sunday morning, December 16th at 163.4 pounds.
- Forgot to weigh in while we out of town. Weighed in at 165.8 pounds Tuesday afternoon (December 25th).
- Total Lost Thus Far: 4 pounds…but I think I can get that last pound again in the next week…
Okay, so I oopsied alot, but I am really happy that exercise is becoming my thing again.
Last week, I was aiming to stay around 164 pounds but oops. This week I am just aiming to be at 165 or less again by the end of the year.
I still have the board gaming convention December 27 through December 30 to deal with and one of my 30th birthday parties will be later on December 30th too. Overall, I’m just wishing and hoping to stay active enough to counteract any food issues I have for the rest of the year. Fingers crossed for 165 or less on December 31st!
