I have actually done this three times using my husband’s gear. Wear black slacks with a white and black striped shirt. Also put on some big sunglasses and carry a white dowel stick as a tapping stick. You are now a blind ref.

*The quoted Halloween costume ideas came from eSSORTMENT. The other two came from me.

Wow! I love your costume suggestions. I used a white sheet and sandals once to go as a Roman senator. I don’t know if it was authentic but it was cheap. – Thanks for including our post.
Haha, I like the mailman and stuffed dog idea. I laughed out loud.
Thank you for selecting my post as an Editor’s Pick! Also, nice job with the Halloween theme. Who would have known it was so easy to dress as a fried egg?
I agree: great costume ideas. Thanks for including my post in the festival
Thank you for including my article! Really appreciate it! I loved the theme!
@Money Obedience, I love your Roman Senator idea!
@Tim, yeah, that one made me smile too.
@Squirrelers, hehehe, now if you can only find someone who would want to…
@Roshawn, you’re welcome!
@Aloya, glad you liked it!
Thanks for inclusion! And here’s a costume I did for my daughter once:
Put a sheet over your head, with holes cut for the eyes.
Glue strips of holiday wrapping paper here and there on the sheet.
You are….the Ghost of Christmas Present.
Thanks for the editor’s pick!
Wear a bathroom, put your hair in curlers and say “Your just running late”!
I would have been disappointed if you didn’t host a fun Carnival. I am NOT disappointed. One year my wife sewed a Red Mohair letter C on my sweatshirt. I went around parting it with a comb. I was, of course, the “parting of the Red C”
Thanks for hosting and the editor’s pick…and for making it fun.
Thanks for including our post!
Awesome costume ideas!
Great job putting this together! Some of those costume ideas had me cracking up the entire way through the carnival
The mailman idea was my favorite!
This carnival theme was so cute!! Thaks for the costume ideas!
@Donna, love it! I always enjoy a good pun. Hahaha!
@Tom, you’re welcome!
@Jenna, hehehe.
@Joe, OMG…it took me a second and then I really did chuckle out loud!
@Nerd Wallet, no problem!
@Craig, thanks!
@Money Reasons, the mailman was my second favorite – my first was the blind ref since I actually do it and my third fave was the chia pet.
@Barb, I’m glad you liked it!
Hey Crystal, thanks for including my link!
Love the costume ideas, especially the werewolf, I gotta try that this Halloween and watch for the reactions =)
I like your site it makes for a great read
