I am plum out of ideas. Speaking of which, I need to remember to pick up some dried plums on the way home. Thanks for the reminder!

Wishing you success and happiness in 2012!

  • I’d like to know more about developing niche sites–maybe a series for your e-newsletter?

  • Maya

Big plans for 2012! Best of luck bringing it all together. Definitely make a point of trying to keep some weekends and downtime – burnout is no fun at all!

  • Karilou85

What is your favorite non-financial book?

  • MikeS

Here’s hoping I become an expense line for your blogging empire. :-)

  • I can’t think of any ideas, but I love reading your site!

  • maria

Great giveaway! I’m new to your website, so I’m not sure what you’ve covered before, but I’m interested in learning how a family budgets when the income is different every week. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • Hi–love your newsletter. I wondered your thoughts on monetizing a blog/website from the beginning versus waiting until you have a readership built up. Any suggestions on this? Thanks and Happy 2012!

  • Hi Crystal! I’m a new subscriber. I’d love to hear your thoughts on what new bloggers can do to educate themselves on the online advertising market. I find it fascinating but I wish I had some reference that was honest and open about what it’s all about!

  • What is the most difficult thing for you to save money on?

  • I would love to know if you have any tips or advice for my 18 year old son…he is anxious to start establishing some credit for himself, but I’m hesitant for him to jump into any big committments. He has a steady part-time job and will probably start taking some local college classes next year. Any advice?

  • Lavonne

    PICK ME, PICK ME!!!

  • I am a new subscriber so I don’t have any questions yet, but I am excited about learning how to continue to have fun while sticking within my budget :-)

  • Leann Lindeman

Hello!! Thanks for the monthly giveaway!

  • Nancy

    Hi, Crystal.

I’m new to your blog, so I’m not sure what question to ask. What advice would you give to two 60-year-olds who haven’t saved as much as they should have for retirement, but are trying hard to do that now (realizing that they’ll have to work for several more years) but who would also like to start traveling a bit before they are too old to enjoy it?

    Thanks,

    Nancy

Hello, no questions for Crystal yet, but I’ll be thinking…

  • Crystal, here is my question: If you could set up a non-profit organization to help people in need, what would your focus be? I’ll share mine: My big dream would be to build a small community in a secluded area where people could come to relax and heal from stressful life situations. I know these places exist for those who are wealthy but as a non-profit my community would allow those less fortunate to attend at a reduced rate or even at no cost. A smaller, possibly more feasible idea which I may be able to implement on a small scale would be to pay for health testing that people might need but can’t get their doctor to prescribe, or don’t have the money to buy themselves. I would probably start within my own family as a lot of my family are not well and also living from paycheck to paycheck.

Thanks for the great site and giveaways.

    Hi Crystal,
I love your blog! What would you suggest is the top priority for a married couple with two kids in elementary school: retirement savings or 509 plans for college?
    Thanks,
    Karen

Hello! I’m new to the blog via Get Rich Slowly. I’m a first time Mom with only mortgage debt (and not much of that) who is trying to save for retirement and a college fund (not to mention the second car our family now needs). Your blog seems practical and empowering. Thanks!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

Thursday is my birthday. Pick me, please!

I made about $1000 online this year but with tax season coming I’m wondering do you pay self employment tax on the same tax return as your federal tax form? Or will I have to file 3 different returns – one for federal, state and self employment?

  • Lisa Brown

Thank you for the giveaway, :)

  • Hi Crystal,

What advice would you give someone interested in learning to manage ad campaigns? – similar to what you do, but in another niche, of course. :)

  • Carmen Roa

Hi–I just found your place on the web and I love it!
You have already been an inspiration to me and I may have found a secondary income stream just in the past few days since I started reading your articles! I will hear for sure on February 6th…can’t wait.
Thank you for what you do!

  • April DUurett

Happy January!! Thanks so much for the giveaway. Love your blog!

  • SherryH

Thanks for the giveaway! Let’s see, a question…

You offer great advice in your blog, but you’re necessarily limited to the length of an article or series of articles. Are there any PF books or other resources you’ve found particularly helpful? Or do you prefer the shorter and more immediate format of the web to get your financial information?

  • Erin

Hi Crystal, I’m new to your blog (got here from Get Rich Slowly) – before I ask any questions, I’ll have a look around. Thanks for the giveaway! :)

  • Kyra

    I want to win!

  • PFM

I’m sure I’ll have more questions soon, still working on figuring out WordPress.

  • Lavonne

Had my birthday this month. A gift card would be a nice present.

  • Any suggestions as to what I should do with my tax refund?
