Welcome to the January 2013 BFS Newsletter Giveaway!!!
Thank you for subscribing. I hope you like the newsletter itself! If so, please share it with anyone you think may like it too!
As another thank you, this month’s giveaway prize is a $25 Amazon Gift Card or Paypal Cash AND a free copy of my eBook, How I Make Money Blogging! All you need to do is leave a single comment below by January 31, 2013 to enter to win!
It’s not required, but I’d appreciate it if you would leave a question for me as your single comment. The “Ask Crystal” section are way more fun if someone is asking me something, lol. Plus, these questions sometimes turn into blog posts. But if you’re plum out of ideas, feel free to say anything at all.
I sincerely appreciate all of you!
The official stuff:
1) Contest ends January 31, 2013 at 11:59pm CST.
2) ONLY ONE COMMENT/ENTRY PER PERSON.
3) The winner must be a newsletter subscriber and will be selected randomly and notified by email by the third day of the following month.
4) The prize will be held for 2 calendar days. If it isn’t claimed, a new winner will be randomly picked and contacted.
5) I reserve the right to reject comments that I consider spam or invalid entries.
6) An invalid or incorrect email address automatically disqualifies you from the drawing…it’s hard to contact a fake email…
7) Local laws, rules, and regulations apply.

Happy New Year! Any major changes coming this year?
Looking forward to a great year with BFS!

Me I like the eat out section!
Looking forward to the new year! what’s the best way to budget for the coming year? I am anticipating a year to finally catch up with bills, and save an emergency fund.
Hi Crystal,
Here’s hoping that you and DH have a wonderful 2013!
I agree with the thought that 2013 is going to be wonderfully amazing and that we will all be shaking our heads in wonder at the good things that 2013 brings.
Thank you for sharing your experiences!
Continued financial success,
Carmen
I have had a few friends ask me how we survive and stay creative – I always refer them to your site for some of the same inspiration I’ve received! I will pay off my first credit card of 2013 and plan to have all $4,000 done by April (no small feat, let me tell ya… but tax time is helpful for us).
So, a random yet detailed question: Are there any private, tax friendly savings options specifically for healthcare that are not use-it-or-lose-it type accounts? My employer only offers an FSA, but I LOVED the HSA I had with my high-deductible health plan at my old job. Just wondering if there is an account or savings strategy that would be helpful.
Thanks Crystal!
Oh – and thanks to Mr. BFS for adding his input to my previous question about motivating a spouse. SUPER helpful!
Thanks for the giveaway!
Winner winner chicken dinner!… at least I hope that works! PICK ME!
Hey Crystal. Happy New Year! Are you making any big changes (i.e. offering new services, creating new blogs) to increase/diversify your income in 2013?
I hope I win!
Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow!

How about an update on the HIMMB series? Would love to hear how they are doing.
Thanks for holding the raffle.
I just read that you plan to scale back your blogging positions. How will you decide which 2-3 blogs to write for?
Glad to hear you are back working harder than ever before on Budgeting In The Fun Stuff. I know buying a house is not only time consuming but it puts alot on people’s minds. I think you will have no problem building the site again. Your goals seem realistic and have realistic goals. Good Luck Mate! Mr.CBB
here’s a question, don’t you think it’s time for Kathleen to win?
Tell us, who’s your favourite blogger client?
I wish my blog rocked as much as yours does! One day I’ll figure it out. Any tips for HTML.
I’m newish to your site and was going to ask about your budget, but I just found the tag on your blog so I’m off to check it out.
How do you guys plan on handling your taxes this year? It’s your first full year of self employment for both of you right?
We rent out one bedroom of our old place and used the other as an office. Our new place has a partially finished basement, so we are going to rent out both extra bedrooms and put the office in the basement. I’m also picking up a part time job delivering newspapers.
I’ve been really enjoying your fitness series – I think there’s a lot of overlap between frugality and exercising – both the irrational choices we sometimes makes and the tremendous sense of achievement!
I am looking forward to 2013! Maybe I will even be your first winner.
Hi Crystal,
How did you get started blogging? Are there certain copyright laws to follow, ie: When I have my blog up and running, can I quote something someone else said, as long as I give them credit? Thanks!
trying again
Can you explain the fiscal cliff to me and how we narrowly avoided falling off to it – ?!?
