The following is a quick request from Melissa at Mom’s Plans. She is a blogging buddy and if you were ever interested in Swagbucks, here is the post for you.
Crystal has a blog and ebook about how to make money blogging, so today she is letting me share one of my favorite ways to make money blogging–Swagbucks.
What Is Swagbucks?
If you haven’t heard, Swagbucks is an Internet search engine, much like Yahoo or Bing. I stay logged in, and whenever I have to search the Internet, I use Swagbucks. Occasionally while searching you will get rewarded with Swagbucks. Those “bucks” can be redeemed for prizes.
How Is Swagbucks Beneficial to Bloggers?
Just using Swagbucks as your search engine could easily net you a $50 PayPal deposit (at about 6,000 to 7,000 Swagbucks) within a year. That by itself is not that much over the course of a year, but keep in mind it is easy income; you are just doing what you would already do, search the Internet.
The way many bloggers make money with Swagbucks is through referrals. If someone signs up through your referral link, you will earn matching points that the new Swagbucks’ member earns up to his first 1,000 points. (And yes, Crystal was kind enough to let me use my referral link for this post.) I know one blogger who runs one of the largest frugal blogs who stated she had never had to buy her two youngest kids diapers. She kept redeeming Swagbucks for Amazon gift cards and bought the diapers off Amazon, essentially for free. This is only possible because she had a huge referral base.
Other Benefits to Bloggers
Swagbucks is interested in forging positive relationships with bloggers. They send out e-mails to their bloggers letting them know any special activities people can participate in to earn more Swagbucks, and they often give bloggers who have a lot of referrals special codes unique to their blog to share with readers.
Swagbucks was generous enough to sponsor my recent trip to the Financial Blogger Conference, FINCON12. They really want to forge strong relationships with bloggers. In return, I agreed to share why I love Swagbucks so much.
If you are interested in joining Swagbucks, all you need to do is sign up with your name, e-mail address and create a password. If you would like more details or would like me to share Swagbucks with your readers on your blog, just let me know in the comments.
