As I wrote about before, I restarted Weight Watchers Online on April 29, 2013 since I gained back 80% of what I lost in 2011. I know why I gained back a bunch too – I stopped caring. Well, hitting 170.6 pounds again was definitely the kick in the butt to lose it all again. So I am now aiming to weigh 150-ish pounds by the end of July 2013.
My Weight Watchers Experience
Weight Watchers Points Plus is a system based on receiving a set number of points a day to use on food and they throw in an additional 49 weekly points for everyone to use. You also earn extra food points when you exercise. Most green vegetables and most fruits are point-free on this system and they expect you to eat a bunch for snacks throughout the day.
I receive the bare minimum, 26 points, per day. My habit is to try to stick to those 26 points Sunday through Thursday and use my weekly splurge points for Friday and Saturday.
Last Two Weeks
I did pretty good! I only really splurged on the potluck, and then on the two days on the road for the “camping” trip this past weekend. I didn’t camp…I hotel’d. But I did tube with my friends on the river all day Saturday.
Here are my weekly points breakdowns (how many I used of what I received):
July 7 – July 13 – Received 231 points, Earned 26 Additional Activity Points, Used 232 Overall. So I had 25 leftover points.
July 14 – July 20 – Received 231, Earned 23 Additional Activity Points, Used 246 Overall. So I had 8 leftover points.
Total times I exercised for at least 30 minutes that wasn’t continuous: 13, yay!
My main snacks were bananas, cherries, grapes and watermelon. And 1 point hard apple ciders.
Starting Weight on April 28, 2013 – 170.6 pounds
Weight as of May 12, 2013 – 166.4 pounds
Weight as of May 26, 2013 – 163.8 pounds
Weight as of June 9, 2013 – 162.6 pounds
Weight as of June 23, 2013 – 159.8 pounds
Weight as of July 7, 2013 – 158.4 pounds
Weight as of July 21, 2013 – 157.2 pounds
I’m down about 13.5 pounds overall in 12 weeks. Yay!!! I haven’t been cheating on my point tracking, but I do eat a ton of fruit every day. Really wringing out that zero point food list.
So the 12 week push is over, but there is still more than a week left until the end of July. Realistically, I am now shooting for weighing 155 pounds by the next update (August 5). Then I can start a new 12 week challenge to get down to 145 and then maintain it…
